Mai-HiME Omake VI: Shiho Munakata on Tate

Disclaimer: Attention Mai-Multiverse Valkyries and Einherjar, starting today I will be posting the written translations of the Mai-HiME Omakes one-by-one on a daily basis. This is to contrast Ruby-chan's Mai-Otome omake translations from the Mai Otome/Zwei/0~S.ifr~ forum. These individual threads for each omake will serve as discussion or to contribute translations in other languages, using the English translations (which I am providing) as a guide. Again, you are welcome to post translations of the topic omake in your country's language here or simply comment on the omake itself.
Completely up to you.

I had just turned five when I moved to the town of Fuka where my grandfather's shrine is. To be honest, at first I didn't like it at all. I had to leave all my friends and Fuka's such a small town. So I cried a lot.
I was all alone until I met my big brother, that is.

He wasn't a prince or anything, but he seemed like one to me. He wasn't a hero but he was one to me. He was always playing tricks and teasing me. But my brother was always gentle.

Actually I want to be able to call him Yuichi-san one day. But I'm worried that if I did, my relationship with him might change. I'm all right with the way things are nao. I'm just his "little sister". But one day, I hope...

Hey, brother? I love you so much.

Well, I actually like Shiho's voice in the dub. Well, here anyway. I have yet to hear her rendition of "ONEE-CHAN!!!"

There is no ear piercing "ONEE-CHAN!!!" in the Bandai dub. In it's place is the repetitive "Big Brother! Big Brother! Big Brother! Big Brother!"

Not as annoying as

"Mamo-chan.

Usako."

"TAMAHOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Miaka."

"KAGOME!

Inuyashaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

But it works to some degree. Arika Yumemiya

"Onee-chan" is Big Sister in Japanese.
"Onii-chan" is Big Brother in Japanese.

I can related to the guy. He's totally powerless in that universe. In my line of work and at my current level I don't have much say in anything.

Ding ding ding we have a winner!

Onee-Chan is for big sisters, otherwise I'd be calling my female friend Alex my big brother and that's just... wrong.

I just felt like commenting on that.

On topic more-so:

Tate, even at a young age apparenty, is as oblivious as ever.
